About the role
As a Principal Consultant, you will lead the health, performance and strategic direction of an Executive Education portfolio. Each portfolio is sector-focused and brings together clients, programs and learning solutions delivered by a dedicated cross-functional team across Business Development, Client & Learner Solutions, Resourcing & Relationships, and Client & Learner Experience.
You’ll act as the senior solution architect and custodian of learning quality, shaping complex client solutions, stewarding strategic relationships and ensuring portfolio growth aligns with MBS strategy, standards and commercial expectations. You will operate with significant autonomy while contributing to shared methodologies, enterprise-wide initiatives and the continued growth of Executive Education.
Our current portfolios are focused on Financial & Professional Services, Industrials, and Public Sector (including health and education). We welcome candidates with experience aligned to any of these sectors.
What you’ll do
· Lead an Executive Education portfolio aligned to one of the above portfolios, driving growth, performance, and strategic positioning
· Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders in order to drive successful projects
· Lead needs discovery phase and the design of learning architecture for complex client engagements
· Partner with Faculty and MBS Associate Facilitators to co-design custom learning solutions for clients
· Provide expert advisory support to senior clients on capability development and learning pathways
· Oversee design and delivery of mid-level complexity learning design projects.
· Co-develop portfolio go-to-market strategies with Business Development and Marketing
· Oversee solution quality, delivery outcomes, and long-term client relationships
· Lead and develop Associate Principals and other portfolio team members
· Drive scalable product development and innovation aligned with market demand
· Exercise strong commercial stewardship across pricing, margins, and portfolio performance
About you
You bring deep experience in consulting and learning design, with a strong track record of shaping enterprise-level learning solutions. You are commercially astute, client-focused, and comfortable operating in complex, matrixed environments.
You bring:
· Extensive experience designing and delivering complex learning solutions for clients
· A sound knowledge of the evidence-informed approaches for what makes learning experiences really work
· Strong capability in client-needs discovery, learning solution design, and related advisory work
· Proven experience growing portfolios or major client accounts
· High commercial and financial literacy
· A collaborative, values-driven leadership style
Remuneration
· Base salary: $165,000 – $185,000 per annum + 12% super
· Additional performance incentives apply
